Media Life On The Road 2013

I am pleased to be able to announce some speaking dates regarding the ongoing Media Life project, to promote the book (out since October 2012), and to explore new directions of applying the media life perspective to empirical projects, for example regarding media work, (beyond) journalism, and so on...

February 7-8: paper presentation at the NEFCA Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap conference in Rotterdam, The Netherlands

February 27: panel presentation at the 24th annual Joseph T. Taylor Symposium in Indianapolis, Indiana (USA), from 10-11:15am.

March 5: lecture at the honours class Shaping Society In A Virtual World at Leiden University, The Netherlands, from 7:15-9:30pm.

March 8-11: I'll be guest at the Department of Media, Journalism and Communication of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden; speaking at the MEG13 conference (panel at 14:30, March 8); seminar on March 10th (10am-noon), and an open lecture "Liquid journalism, media work and media life" (from 1-3pm).

March 11-12: guest at Media and Communication Studies of the School of Culture and Education of Sodertorn University in Stockholm, Sweden; research seminar on March 12th from 1-4pm.

March 13-14: guest at the Department of Media and Communication of the University of Oslo, Norway. Open talk/lecture from 2:14-4pm on March 13th, seminar on (managing) media work on March 14th (from 1:15-4pm.

March 15-16: Panel presenter at the ECREA workshop on Mediatization and New Media at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark; talk on "The Mediatization of Everyday Life" scheduled from 1:15-4:15pm on March 15th.

March 21: keynote at the Dutch journalism union (NVJ) roundtable conference at the Koninklijke Schouwburg in The Hague, The Netherlands.

April 3-7: guest at Microsoft New England Research and Development Center in Cambridge (Boston, USA).
